Additional Information

Telehealth Services

Relinquish and Transcend Counseling only offers telehealth services as an option for psychotherapy sessions to residents in PA, DE, NJ, CO, LA, NH, TN, NE, FL, MA, NC, UT, KY, NC, OH, MI, MD, WV, AL, AR, WY AND GA.

Since the rise in COVID-19, we made the transition to telehealth services to ensure health, safety, and continuity of care.

These capabilities allow us to improve access to affordable mental health care, regardless of your ability to come an office. We are dedicated to ensuring you receive the best possible care with minimal interruptions.

At RTC, “telehealth services” primarily refers to two therapy options:

  • Video Therapy: counseling sessions provided via video conferencing
  • Telephone Counseling: counseling sessions provided via telephone

There are many benefits to having sessions with a RTC therapist using telehealth.

  • It can be easier and more efficient for you to access mental health care
  • There may be more flexibility to schedule a time convenient for you.
  • You can talk to a therapist without physically coming to an office.

For video therapy, we are using the electronic health records systems therapy portal to provide secure, confidential video therapy to our clients.

What You Will Need

Here is what you will need to meet with a RTC therapist using video therapy:

-A computer or tablet with a microphone and a camera

-Internet speed of at least 1 megabit per second (mbps)

-A private space (preferably a room with a door) without pets, family members or other distractions

-A secure internet connection (public Wi-Fi is not recommended due to lack of privacy)

-Proper lighting in front of your face preferred

-Use Firefox or Chrome as your browser

Here’s what you will need for phone counseling sessions:

-A private space (no pets, family members or other distractions)

-A telephone that you are comfortable using and has good sound quality

**Helpful tip: Using headphones/earbuds with a microphone may help minimize what other people nearby can hear.

Privacy

At RTC, we value your confidentiality. To ensure your privacy, your therapist will connect with you from a space where they can reasonably ensure confidentiality and lack of interruption.  Your therapist may use headphones and/or sound machines to enhance your privacy.

Fees and Insurance

Your therapist will discuss fees with you in advance and keep you updated on any changes to fee structure or billing practices.

If you plan to use health insurance, we will run a benefits check, as a courtesy, and encourage you to call your insurance company directly to learn about your plan’s benefits.

Payment for Telehealth Services will be collected within 24 hours at the time of service by a credit card on file.

Welcome! Relinquish and Transcend Counseling is excited to offer online mental health counseling services!

RTC offers a secure, web based, video chat service where you can hold online therapy sessions with a therapist. Due to COVID-19 all of our sessions are conducted via telehealth (audio/video) sessions.

Telehealth at RTC means that we provide health care services through the use of interactive audio and video technology, permitting real-time communication between the patient at the originating site and the provider, for the purpose of diagnosis, consultation, or treatment.
