About Us

Relinquish & Transcend Counseling + Consulting (R&T) is a Black-owned and women-owned holistic private practice dedicated to improving the mental health of communities of color. We do this by increasing access to quality counseling, providing culturally competent and trauma-informed care, and engaging in community education and advocacy.

Founded in 2019 by Jummy M. Kirby, M.A., LPC, PMH-C, CMIP, R&T offers telehealth services to BIPOC-identifying individuals across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Our team integrates evidence-based and mindfulness-centered approaches to support children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

Position Overview

R&T is currently expanding and searching for a Part-Time Virtual Psychotherapist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving diverse communities, committed to high-quality clinical care, and eager to contribute to a supportive, collaborative practice environment.

This is a remote, work-from-home position providing individual, couples, and/or group therapy—primarily serving Black and African American clients.

 Responsibilities

• Conduct 15–30 weekly client sessions (minimum 15 sessions per week).
• Maintain an 85–90% client retention rate.
• Complete progress notes within 24 hours of sessions.
• Create and maintain treatment plans and keep client demographics up to date.
• Maintain ongoing correspondence with clients when appropriate.
• Attend regular case consultations with the supervisor or lead therapist.
• Ensure proficiency and compliance with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Requirements

• Licensure preferred but not required (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist).
• Minimum of 15 client hours per week.
• Experience providing individual therapy for adults.
• Strong commitment to working with Black and African American communities.
• Competence with cloud-based systems and basic computer skills (R&T is fully paperless).
• Reliable internet connection and a confidential work environment.
• Must be a resident of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware.
